INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Four juveniles have been taken into custody following a Friday morning chase on the city’s east side, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said that sometime before 3 a.m. officers were called to the area of 42nd Street, Post and Mitthoeffer roads for reports of shots being fired into a house.
IMPD said a victim was able to provide officers with a description of the vehicle and the direction in which the vehicle was headed.
Once officers came upon the vehicle matching the description provided, officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to pull the vehicle over. It was at that point that a chase began, with the suspect’s vehicle reaching speeds of 70 and 80 mph as it went through the east side of Indianapolis.
During the chase, the suspect’s vehicle went into the parking lot of the Temple of Believers Church near 38th Street and Emerson Avenue where the vehicle became stuck on a parking block. Three of the four juveniles attempted to run but were quickly apprehended.
IMPD said no one was injured during the incident.
