Anderson police believe vehicle involved in woman’s death

ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — A 52-year-old woman’s death is being investigated by Anderson police after she was found unresponsive and with injuries early Thursday morning.

According to Anderson Police Department Maj. Joel Sandefur, officers were called to the 2200 block of West 16th Street around 2 a.m. Thursday on reports of a woman found lying in the street and unresponsive.

The woman, who had suffered injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Her identity has not yet been released.

Police believe a vehicle was involved in the woman’s death.
