Arrest made in Camby man’s murder

MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A Camby man is in jail after a weekend fight ended in a man’s death.

Jeremy Haug, 40 of Camby, faced a charge of murder and remained in the Morgan County Jail without bond on Monday night, online records show.

Around 12:05 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office were called to a residence just off Hadley Road in the northern part of the county for a report of an unresponsive person.

They arrived to find a person, later identified as 34-year-old Chad Walden, also of Camby, who they were unable to resuscitate.

Investigators with the sheriff’s office later learned that a fight had occurred between Haug and Walden, and that Walden had died of his injuries.

Haug had his initial hearing on Monday and is expected back in court on Nov. 5.

The case remained under investigation.
