Bank inside Shelbyville Walmart robbed

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A bank inside the city’s Walmart Supercenter was robbed Friday morning, Shelbyville Police Department said. 

The robbery happened about 10:35 a.m. at the Woodforest National Bank. The Walmart is at 2500 Progress Parkway on the city’s east side. 

Police said in a news release that a male advised the teller “this was robbery.” The teller complied, and the male left the bank and headed into the parking lot.

Police provided surveillance photos of the male and the vehicle he drove in the release.
