Camby man arrested in I-465 road rage incident
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A Camby man faces charges in connection to a December road rage incident on Interstate 465 where shots were fired at a vehicle.
State police detectives arrested 37-year-old Billy Robinson Friday morning. He faces preliminary charges of criminal recklessness with a firearm and pointing a firearm.
ISP detectives said the Dec. 27 incident happened around 4:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-465 near West 56th Street. No one was injured in the shooting, but bullet holes were found in the driver’s side door of a vehicle.
Witnesses provided police with a detailed description of the shooting suspect’s vehicle, which led investigators to file for a search warrant, eventually arresting Robinson, ISP said.
Robinson remained in the Marion County Jail on Friday, online jail records show.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make a final charging decision in the case.
