Former Shelbyville HS athletic director accused of stealing from booster club

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A former high school athletic director has been accused of stealing from the school’s booster club.

Ryan Mack, 32, faces six felony count of theft and one felony county of corrupt business influence.

According to the Shelbyville Police Department, Mack stole from Shelbyville High School and/or the Golden Bear Booster Club between June 2017 and October 2019.

According to The Shelbyville News, Mack resigned in January.

Shelbyville police have not specified how much was stolen. Each felony charge states the value is between $750 and $50,000.

Police say Mack turned himself in on Monday.

Online court records do not yet list a future appearance for Mack.
