Homicide investigation on east side underway after juvenile shot, killed
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide on the city’s east side.
According to IMPD, on Friday, Aug. 7, officers were called to the 300 block of North Bradley Avenue for a report of a person shot just before 1:30 a.m.
Once on the scene, officers did find a male juvenile who had been shot.
The juvenile was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. However, he later died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.
The victim has been identified by the Marion County Coroner’s Office as 17-year-old Ja’ron Bonds.
