Coroner IDs 52-year-old man killed in shooting on city’s south side

UPDATE: The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified a 52-year-old man killed in a June 2 shooting on the city’s south side as Harold Shelton.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is dead following a shooting on the city’s south side Wednesday morning, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Just after 4:30, officers were called to the 3200 block of South Keystone Avenue for a person shot report.

Once on the scene, officers located a male on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said the man was pronounced on the scene.

No victim or suspect information has been released.
