IMPD investigating after 2 shot on far northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two people were shot on the far northeast side of Indianapolis Wednesday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to Amber Woods apartment complex on John Jay Drive just south of John Marshall High School around 4:30 a.m.

A man and woman told police they were walking outside when someone shot them. Both people were taken to the hospital in stable condition with gunshot wounds to the leg.

Police say no one else witnessed the shooting, and they have no suspect information.
