INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Two people are dead after an early Friday morning shooting on the city’s west side, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
IMPD said that just after 1:15 a.m. officers were called to the 3600 block of West Michigan Street for a person shot report.
Once on the scene, officers found two people – a male and a female – who had been shot. Both people were pronounced dead on the scene.
The victims have been identified as 19-year-old Melvin Thompson and 36-year-old Kenisha Taylor. The relationship of the victims is unclear at this point.
Additionally, no possible suspect information has been released.
