IMPD investigating fatal hit-and-run in Castleton

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run on the city’s northeast side.

IMPD said the crash happened in the 6000 block of East 82nd Street. That’s right in front of Castleton Square Mall.

A man, identified by the Marion County Coroner’s Office as 24-year-old Dominic Mitchell, was found by police in a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

IMPD has not yet provided suspect information.
