UPDATE: The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died after a shooting on the city’s near east side Wednesday morning as 32-year-old Nathaniel Leslie.
The cause of Leslie’s death was not released by the coroner.
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is dead after a shooting on the city’s near east side Wednesday morning, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers were called to the 1000 block of East Washington Street just before 6 a.m. for a report of a person shot.
The victim was initially transported to the hospital in serious condition. However, IMPD later said the victim died.
It’s unclear what led up to the fatal shooting.
No victim or suspect information has been released.
