IMPD makes arrests in multiple armed robberies
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two suspects in multiple armed robberies in January have been arrested and charged, according to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
IMPD Covert Robbery Unit detectives were investigating five armed robberies of businesses that occurred in January. Cameron Dillon was identified by detectives as a suspect in the robberies.
Officers were able to take Dillon into custody without incident at a home in the 50 block of North Whittier Place on Monday. Evidence connected to the robberies was recovered at the home and Dillon admitted to being involved in the armed robberies of the following businesses:
- Metro PCS – 5326 W Washington St on Jan. 22
- Rich Oil – 75 N Lynhurst Dr on Jan. 22
- Advance Auto Sales – 5061 Southeastern Ave on Jan. 24
- Dairy Queen – 3906 E 16th St on Jan. 24
- Auto Zone – 8702 E Washington St on Jan. 25
Dillon was arrested for armed robbery and active robbery warrants out of Hamilton County. He has been charged with three counts of armed robbery.
Darrion Bynum, who was already in custody, was also charged for the robberies at Dairy Queen and Advance Auto.
