IMPD seeks identity of man at shooting, releases photos of him

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man at a party at a home where a man was shot in April.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department on Monday night released photos of the unidentified man. 

About 2 a.m. April 15, IMPD officers were sent to investigate a person shot at a home in the 3400 block of Monninger Drive, just northwest of West 34th Street and Georgetown Road on the west side. 

A news release from IMPD said, “When officers arrived on the scene they observed what appeared to be a large party at the residence and located a male with apparent gunshot wound(s). The male was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.” 

Detectives believe the victim, Jon Spurlock, was standing in the living room of the home when he was shot.
