Indy infant’s death ruled homicide
UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Rowan Kartholl.
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The death of a 2-month-old boy has been ruled a homicide, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said Friday.
On Monday around 1 p.m., Avon police officers responded to IU Health West Hospital in Avon on a report of an injured infant.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the incident happened in the IMPD jurisdiction. IMPD responded to the scene.
The child died at the hospital, according to IMPD.
Child-abuse detectives determined the incident to be a homicide. The Marion County Coroner’s Office has not yet determined a cause of death.
No victim or suspect information has been released.
