Intruder tries to grab girl as she sleeps

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) – She’s a mom, and she’s furious. So we blurred out her face. 

On Nov. 4, just before 5:00 a.m., a man slipped into her apartment near 42nd Street and Post Road. As she slept, a man stepped through an unlocked window.

Once inside, the intruder grab a little girl as she slept in the bed. She screamed. Her mom woke up, and the unknown man dashed out of the complex. 

The mom called the police and a report was filed. Detectives took a list of mugshots of sex offenders that live in the area to the girl. However, none of them matched the description. 

After several days, the mother got a call from a friend. She told her a woman posted a picture of a man who masturbated in front of her window.

Once confronted, the man took off, but the woman did get a couple of shots of the suspect.

She posted the pictures on Facebook, and the little girl identified the man as the suspect. 

News 8 obtained the pictures and we sent it over to the Lawrence Police Department.
