Juvenile arrested in connection with deadly fight

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A juvenile has been arrested in connection with a deadly fight at a gas station last month.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the Marathon gas station located at 448 N. Sherman Drive, at the corner of East Michigan Street, around 6:44 p.m. April 30, where they found 58-year-old Reginald Hamilton unresponsive following what a police report called a fight.

Hamilton was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

Detectives announced Thursday they had identified all three men they were seeking for questioning. Two adult men were being treated as witnesses, while the juvenile faces preliminary charges of aggravated battery, involuntary manslaughter and battery causing serious bodily injury.

Police said the juvenile had not been waived to adult court as of Thursday night, so his name would not be released.
