Kokomo police investigating armed robbery
KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) – Police are looking into a weekend armed robbery in Kokomo, according to the Kokomo Police Department.
The Department said that just before 6 a.m. on April 18, officers were called to the Village Pantry convenience store in the 400 block of East Morgan Street for an armed robbery report.
Once on the scene, officers learned the suspect entered the store, handed the clerk a note demanding money and then proceeded to walk behind the counter while displaying a hammer. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, he fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male between 40-50 years old, 5’7″ tall with a thin build. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black piece of nylon fabric on his head and a blue surgical mask with clouds covering his face.
