Kokomo police seek help after court issues order for missing children
KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) – Kokomo Police Department on Thursday night asked for help to locate a missing Kokomo father and his two sons.
Michael D. Lovely, 37, and the boys Noah, 4, and Conner, 1, were not returned to the custody of their mother on Wednesday as planned, a news release from police Capt. Tonda Cockrell said.
The release did not indicate whether or not the children were considered to be in danger, but said a Howard Superior Court issued an emergency order for the children to be returned to their mother’s custody. The release did not name the mother.
No vehicle description was immediately available.
The release said Lovely has a warrant out of Miami County for an unrelated incident.
Anyone with information was asked to call 911 or the Kokomo Police Hotline at (765) 456-7017. People who call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (800) 222-8477 with an anonymous tip may qualify for a cash reward, the release said.
