Man arrested after deadly shooting on city’s near-west side
INDIAPOLIS (WISH) — A man was arrested Friday in connection to a fatal shooting Thursday night on the city’s near-west side, according to police.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested Brian Woods, 57, for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of 30-year-old Marquan Lee.
Lee was shot around 9:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Koehne Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene when responding officers arrived.
Police at the scene Thursday said the shooting stemmed from a domestic disturbance at a home in the neighborhood. Details about the relationship between Woods and Lee were not immediately available.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will determine final charging decisions in the case.
