Man arrested on murder charge in connection to homicide on city’s northeast side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Metro police have arrested a man in connection to a man’s shooting death on the city’s northeast side.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, Theo Sanford, 29, was arrested Monday for his alleged involvement in the murder of a man in the 5200 block of Leone Place.
Officers were called to the area on reports of a person shot just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29. When they arrived to the scene they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). The man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition where he later died just after midnight Sunday.
The victim of the shooting has been identified as Justin Bonds.
No other details were immediately available.
