22-year-old man fatally shot at northwest side apartment complex

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man was fatally shot on the city’s northwest side Sunday, police said.

Around 9:20 p.m., officers with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 4500 block of Rosewood Commons Drive on reports of a person lying in the roadway.

Upon arrival, officers found a man with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Luke Poindexter, 22.
