Man found guilty of attempted murder in adult video store shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man has been found guilty of two charges after a shooting that injured an Indianapolis adult video store employee in January.

Donte Lane, 24, was found guilty Tuesday of attempted murder and carrying a handgun without a license.

Lane was accused of shooting an adult video store clerk at 38th Street and Shadeland Avenue in the early morning hours of Jan. 23.

The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

A third charge, possession of an altered handgun, was dropped.

A sentencing hearing for Lane is set for Oct. 27.The photo above is from a 2014 arrest.
