INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — No one was injured after a gunfire exchange between suspects and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers Sunday morning, police say.
According to IMPD public information officer Aaron Hamer, officers attempted to pull a vehicle over for a traffic stop in the area of 10th and Tuxedo streets just before 7 a.m.
During the attempt, shots were fired at officers and officers returned fire.
“Thankfully no one was hurt,” said Hamer.
Hamer said all involved are in custody.
