INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man has died after a Friday night shooting on the city’s northeast side.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 3900 block of Biscayne Road, a residential area near East 38th Street and North Post Road, around 11:13 p.m. Friday, on a report of a person shot.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the man as Erick Douglass, 27. He died from a gunshot wound.
Police initially said Douglass was in critical condition but he later died.
Police have not said what led to the shooting or whether a suspect is being sought.
