Person in serious to critical condition after shooting on near-northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person is in serious to critical condition after a shooting at a home on the city’s near-northeast side. 

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department went to a “shots fired” report shortly after 2:10 p.m. Friday in the 2100 block of Sheldon Street. That’s southeast of Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue and 22nd Street. 

Police said the person shot walked into IU Health Methodist Hospital. 

IMPD did not say whether they have a suspect in the shooting. Police also have not indicated what led to the shooting or provided any information about the victim or the injuries.
