Police: 15-year-old boy shot in Greenfield

GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — The Greenfield Police Department is investigating after a teenager was shot Thursday morning.

Police say the shooting happened just before 6:50 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of North Noble Street. That’s in a residential neighborhood about a block east of Greenfield-Central High School.

Police say the victim is a 15-year-old boy, who was not identified. Police say the boy was taken to an Indianapolis hospital where he was described as stable.

Police have not said what led up to the shooting. Investigators do not believe there is a threat to the public.

Officers requested homeowners in the area check camera systems for any suspicious activity that happened in the area around the time of the shooting.
