Police catch accused Indy drug dealer on the run with teen son in Kentucky

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -- An accused drug dealer on the run with his teen son has been captured in Louisville, Kentucky, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said Tuesday night. 

Mark Davis was apprehended by police, and his son, 16-year-old Tyler Davis, is safe and will be reunited to his mother, IMPD said. Police had called Tyler "an endangered runaway." The Davises had last been seen Nov. 23.

The Franklin Township Crime Facebook group. had shared photos of the Davises after a Nov. 25 special weapons and tactics team's standoff at a township home. Police said the SWAT team was a precaution.

Mark Davis, 50, is wanted in Hendricks County for dealing methamphetamine and other drugs, according to online court records. It was not immediately known Tuesday night if Mark Davis would face additional charges. Online records showed Mark Davis was in a Louisville, Kentucky, jail on Tuesday night.
