MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A police chase that began in Indianapolis ended in Morgan County Tuesday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, On-Star contacted the department about a stolen vehicle on the city’s southwest side.
Officers spotted the vehicle around 4 a.m. in the area of Holt Road and Kentucky Avenue and attempted a traffic stop. Police said the vehicle initially pulled over but then sped away.
IMPD said the suspect took officers on a chase through the Mars Hill area then got on Mann Road, heading south into Morgan County.
On-Star, according to police, was able to shut the stolen vehicle off and officers stopped him near Hadley Road.
There were no injuries during the chase. However, the suspect, an adult male in his 20s, was taken to the hospital as he told police he had ingested drugs.
