IMPD: Suspicious package deemed not a threat
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A suspicious package downtown has been deemed not a threat, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Just after 3 a.m. officers were called to the area of 10th Street and Indiana Avenue for a business alarm.
Once on the scene, officers located some kind of a device outside a business.
Members of the bomb squad were called to the scene and roads in the area were blocked.
However, just before 6 a.m., police said the package was actually a sensor outside a fast food restaurant.
