KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — Police are seeking help to find a suspect in the armed robbery of an armored vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

Kokomo Police Department was called to an armed robbery about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at the PNC Bank at 2201 W. Jefferson St. That’s north of State Road 22 about a block from Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo hospital on the city’s west side.

The armored vehicle was at the bank to service the automatic teller machine. An employee was inside servicing the machine when a man wearing a camouflaged hood, a black face mask and dark clothing entered the armored vehicle. The man held the driver at gunpoint and disarmed him, Kokomo police said in a media release.

The man took an undetermined amount of cash, police said, and fled in a maroon or red Cadillac XTS. Surveillance cameras captured images of the car, believed to be a model made from 2013-2018.
