INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -- Police are asking for the help of the public to find a 44-year-old man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting on Saturday.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police on Monday said they were seeking Harold Pulliam, who they suspect to be involved in the fatal shooting of 44-year-old Byron Davenport Jr. He faces a preliminary charge of murder and should be treated as armed and dangerous, police said in a release.
Police were called to the intersection of 24th and Sheldon streets -- that's between Dr. Andrew J Brown and Ralston avenues on the near east side -- around 3:12 p.m. Saturday, where Davenport was found shot and taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition but later died.
Davenport's shooting death was one of three fatal shootings over 24 hours in Indianapolis.
On Sunday, the city tallied its intentional 50 homicide for the year, compared to 46 last year.
