INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A serial arsonist who set at least seven fires on the city’s near-north side over the span of five years was sentenced on Friday, according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.

David Bradshaw, 43, was sentenced to 40 years after pleading guilty to seven counts of arson.

In 2019, Bradshaw set multiple residential fires, typically while the residents were asleep inside the home. He also admitted to setting two fires on Christmas in 2018 and a fire in 2014.

According to the prosecutor’s office, Bradshaw’s crimes caused more than $2 million worth of damage.

Bradshaw was arrested in 2019 after his image was captured on home security cameras.
