FRANKFORT, Ind. (WISH) — A man accused of killing two people at a plant in Clinton County is requesting to have his case moved to another county.
Gary Ferrell II, accused of killing a woman and her grandmother at NHK Seating Plant of America near Frankfort in August, has filed a motion to have his case moved out of Clinton County.
Online court records indicate his attorneys filed the motion on Sept. 20. The Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office filed a response on Sept. 28, requesting the motion go to a hearing.
Ferrell is accused of killing Pamela Sledd, 62, and Promise Mays, 21, both of Rossville, as they prepared to start their shifts at the plant.
Court documents state that Ferrell tried to force Mays into the trunk of his car before shooting her and Sledd.
A hearing on the change of venue motion is set for Dec. 15.
