Woman dies after hit by truck now sought by Hamilton County sheriff

DEMING, Ind. (WISH) — A woman walking on a Hamilton County road Tuesday afternoon was fatally struck by a truck, and police said Tuesday night they are looking for a damaged Ford F-150.

The fatal hit-and-run crash occurred about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday on Anthony Road between 226th and 236th streets. That’s a rural area about 2 miles northwest of the northwestern border of Noblesville.

The woman was not identified in information from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. The truck was described as a silver or gray 1997-2003 Ford F-150 with a tinted rear window.

A Facebook post from the sheriff’s office said deputies arrived and tried to render aid to the woman, who died from her injuries at the scene.
