Woman sentenced in plot to have boyfriend kill husband

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indianapolis woman has been sentenced after orchestrating a plot to have her boyfriend and his cousin kill her husband.

Opal Williams, was sentenced to serve 55 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections, and had five years suspended from her sentence after agreeing to a plea deal on a charge of murder.

The conspiracy to commit murder charges were dismissed.

In March of 2015, IMPD found the body of Steven Williams rolled up in carpet, under a bridge.

Investigators learned that Williams wife, Opal, along with her boyfriend Ricky King, and his cousin Charles Lehman conspired to kill Mr. Williams.

The incident was orchestrated by Opal Williams. Investigators learned that Opal planned the murder while King and Lehman stabbed the Steven to death.
