Curb, street clean-up beautifies near east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – 100 volunteers are expected to help clean up a near east side neighborhood on Saturday.

The East Village Business Owners Association and the Safe Hope and Love International groups have teamed up to organize a special clean-up event, in an effort to encourage new business and a safer community.

The group of volunteers plan to do curb and street clean-up between East New York Street and East WAshington Street and Lasalle Street and Beville Street.

Volunteers are requested to sign-up and get information at 2821 East New York Street.

Children are welcome, as crafts and fun activities are planned indoors to keep them satisfied.
