Dance marathon held to benefit Riley

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis high school students put on their dancing shoes Saturday to help children in need.

The first ever dance marathon was held at Lawrence Central High School.

It was organized by the school’s Key Club, and raised money to support kids treated at Riley Hospital for Children

“This type of event is important to me because I think that helping those that need the help is what everybody should do, and you should give back to others, and help people in need,” said Peyton Carroll, a student at Lawrence Central.

Lawrence Central’s Key Club set a goal to raise $5,000 for Riley. Carroll says they surpassed it.
