Day care owner pleads guilty to 6 counts of neglect
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Stephanie Gribble was sentenced Friday for giving children, who attended her “Stay and Play Daycare”, over-the-counter prescription medication.
Gribble pleaded guilty to six counts of neglect of a dependent, one Class B felony, four Class C felonies and one Class D felony.
Gribble appeared in a Marion County courtroom Feb. 6, where she was sentenced to a total of 20 years. The court ordered Gribble to serve 10 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections, three years in Community Corrections, and another seven years on probation.
Reports state that Gribble may not have contact with minor children other than her own biological children. Child Protection Services were recommended for her biological children.
Gribble will also be evaluated for mental health treatment.
