Man’s death on south side treated as homicide
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said one person was found dead on the south side Sunday.
Police were called to the 4900 block of South Emerson Avenue at an address that corresponds with the Emerson Shoppes shopping center shortly after 4 p.m. on reports of a person down, according to IMPD.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a traumatic injury in a parking lot of the shopping center, according to police at the scene.
Emergency medical personnel declared the person dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives Sunday were headed to the scene.
No additional information on the identity of the person or the circumstances surrounding the death.
