45-year-old woman dies in homicide at home in Greencastle
GREENCASTLE, Ind. (WISH) – A woman’s death in Greencastle is considered to be a homicide, the Greencastle Police Department said.
Officers were called to a report of a dead person at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of East Berry Street.
After arriving, police found 45-year-old Melissa Attkisson.
Greencastle police, the Indiana State Police and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department said they have secured the scene and applied for search warrants, but authorities gave no word on how Attkisson died or any possible suspect information.
