Deputy Jake Pickett Remembrance Day set for Saturday

LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) — The Boone County Sheriff’s Office will host the first Deputy Jake Pickett Remembrance Day on Saturday.

That date marks one year since Pickett was shot and killed in the line of duty.

The sheriff’s office hopes Saturday’s event will continue to help the community grieve. The day will kick off with a ceremony at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds.

There will be a blood drive, two police dog demonstrations, kids’ activies, food and more from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
