Dick Wolfsie stops by No Label at the Table
CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) — What’s on the menu for Dick Wolfsie this week? He visited a unique bakery in the heart of Carmel that not only focuses on a dairy and gluten-free selection, but a working environment for employees on the autistic spectrum.
Dick met with the owner of No Label at the Table, Shelly Henley, to hear what inspired her to start the business.
“We’re not really in the business of selling cookies or cupcakes,” explained Henley. “We’re in the business of employing people on the autistic spectrum.”
No Label at the Table has 17 employees.
Henley said it was her son that inspired the business.
“Every parent wants there kid to grow up and be happy and fulfilled and I wanted that for my son. I think all families should hope for that,” explained Henley. “So, we set up when he said he wanted to be a chef and he is a chef, he’s the executive chef here. And now we have the 17 employees who, again are living happy and fulfilled lives.”
