Downtown restaurant cashes in on comfort foods

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – With temperatures in Central Indiana hovering below freezing this entire week, many people are turning to comfort foods for warmth. Soup is a common cold weather meal, and one restaurant specializing in soup says business is on the rise.

Soupremacy is located on 7 East Market Street along Monument Circle downtown. Staff there said business is steaming thanks to the cold winter weather. The restaurant serves about a dozen different types of soup each day. They say the menu changes with customer demand and seasonal ingredients.

The Soupremacy website lists spinach piquant, chicken velvet and lobster bisque as just a few available now.

The restaurant also delivers to the downtown area between 16th & Morris streets and the White River Avenue and State Avenue area.
