Electrical issue ignites fire on school bus

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Firefighters were on the scene of a school bus fire on Thursday morning, according to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department dispatchers.

IMPD dispatch confirmed that a school bus caught fire around 6:20 a.m. near Mt. Vernon Drive and East Thompson Road.

24-Hour News 8 crews were on the scene and say the bus is from Perry Township. Firefighters say that they believe the fire started from an electrical issue.
