Ex-Park Tudor coach pleads guilty in student sexting case
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Former Park Tudor coach Kyle Cox formally pleaded guilty Tuesday to having an inappropriate relationship with a student. His sentencing is set for July 14.
Cox was charged with trying to entice a 15-year-old female student into a sexual relationship. He resigned from Park Tudor on Dec. 15 before the investigation was opened and he was arrested.
Court documents state Cox used Snapchat under the username “Bigsilkysmooth” to exchange videos and images with the girl. Content was also shared over Instagram and in text messages.
The girl’s father found out about the alleged relationship and went to the school with his findings.
Court documents allege that the school’s attorney and now-deceased headmaster failed to notify authorities until three weeks later when the search warrant was served.
On Feb. 12, Park Tudor hired a second lawyer to conduct an investigation.
