Fantastic Friday with rain returning this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A chilly start to the morning with most spots in the mid to upper 40s Friday morning. Mostly clear sky for the start of the day with sunshine warming temperatures through the morning to the 60s! Lots of sunshine Friday will help boost temperatures to the mid-70s.

Friday night, a few clouds begin to move in while temperatures cool to the 60s.

Showers return for the weekend. Scattered showers and storms will start fairly early Saturday morning with pockets of some moderate to heavy rain through late morning and early afternoon. There will be breaks from the rain during the day with storms redeveloping during the evening hours. Some could be on the stronger side since all of central Indiana is under a marginal risk of a stronger to a severe thunderstorm. Highs will warm to the upper 70s.

Scattered showers and storms will continue through Father’s Day with periods of dry time for barbecues in the afternoon for dad. Highs will warm to near seasonal highs in the lower 80s.

A daily chance for scattered showers and storms all next week with temperatures running just a bit below the seasonal high with most places in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
