Feathered creatures dominating west side neighborhood

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Homeowners living on the west side of Indianapolis say unwanted fowl have mysteriously appeared in their neighborhood.

Now those feathered creatures have made this neighborhood their home.

No one knows where they came from, but they showed up around the beginning of March.

Thomas Ogdon and several other Heatherwood Estate homeowners said they have spotted between five to 10 wild turkeys roaming through their property.

Ogdon said, “Since they’ve started hanging around here I want to make sure they are well fed. They like bird food and cat chow.”

He confirmed that he has been feeding the turkeys twice a day.

Other home owners who have seen the wild fowl said that they have called Indianapolis Animal Care Control and have not received a response back.

They want someone to visit the neighborhood to remove them.
