Ferrero Rocher, maker of Nutella, is hiring taste testers

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – Love Nutella on bread, fruits, straight out of the jar?

Ferrero Rocher, the company behind Nutella, is hiring taste testers to sample their confections straight out of their headquarters in Italy.

The job posting was first shared on Italy’s Open Job Metis website on behalf of Soremartec Italia, the Ferrero research and development company, and was then translated into English on Euronews.

According to the posting, ideal candidates should be interested in “how to taste cocoa, hazelnut powder, and other semi-finished sweet products” similar to ones used in Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, and Kinder Bueno products.

Ferrero is looking to hire 60 different tasters to sample the newest confections at the company’s headquarters in the Northern Italy city of Alba.

The job starts in September and will include a three-month-long paid training period.

Taste testers will be educated on “the sense of smell and taste and improve the ability to express in words what they perceive with the tasting of semi-finished products.”

At the end of the course, taste testers will be required to come into the office four hours a week.

Talk about a pretty sweet gig!
