Fire crews battle triple house fire

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -The Indianapolis Fire Department responded to a call about a fire early Saturday morning.

According to IFD, crews were dispatched just after 4 a.m. to a residence fire in three homes at East Adler Street and South Talbott Street.

After arriving on scene, crews saw that the main fire occurred at one house on the 1800 block of South Talbot and spread to the two homes on either side of it.

Crews were able to get the fire under control within an hour’s time.

Residents in the affected structures were able to escape unharmed.

Neighbors told the fire department that squatters had been in and out of the home that sustained the most damage.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire. The home had no working smoke detectors.
